I currently live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (or as us Yoopers would say, "Da' UP") and work as an Information Systems Intern for Trident Maritime Systems - an international leader in marine infrastructure. I will complete my Associate's Degree Spring of 2024 (alongside my highschool diploma), with plans to attend a university to finish my Bachelor's Degree the following Fall.
I have experience with static and dynamic programming languages, web development, enterprise solutions, database administration, and am a professional Googler. At school, I use C++ and Python; at work, I occasionally use SQL and MSDOS shell scripting; in my freetime, I tinker with web development and GDScript (used for scripting within Godot - a free, open source game engine).
I am honored to have been recognized by the National Rural and Small Town Recognition Program this past August. Although, I am most proud of my placements at both the 2022 and 2023 Business Professionals of America (BPA) National Leadership Conference (NLC). At the 2022 NLC, I placed 4th in SQL Database Fundamentals, and 16th in C++ Programming. At this year's 2023 NLC, I placed 3rd in both SQL Datbase Fundamentals and C++ Programming.
Outside of my interests in computer science - programming, networking, etc... - I am a huge music lover. Some of my most listened to artists include Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Band of Horses, Drivin' N' Cryin', Metallica, Tool, Dire Straits, Blackberry Smoke, and I could go on and on. That's why when I picked up guitar about one and a half years ago I was happier than ever... I could finally play all my favorite artist's songs! Besides music, I am a huge reader, and equally enjoy writing. I am also currently attempting to teach myself Russian, I would love to travel the world some day, and Russia is definetly on my list to visit.
